Every plan, everything included

There is no feature gating. The only thing that changes between plans is how many people you are allowed to send to.

  • As many issues and as many newsletters as you like
  • The drag-and-drop composer and your link library
  • A browser button for saving links as you read
  • Sending, included, at whatever rhythm you publish
  • An archive website on your own domain
  • Every link tracked, tagged and ranked by clicks
  • Sponsorship slots, a booking calendar and reader submissions
  • Bring a list from a spreadsheet, confirmation emails, one-tap unsubscribe

What the price does not depend on

How often you send. Most newsletter pricing quietly punishes you for showing up, because it counts emails rather than people. Send weekly to five thousand readers and you are billed for twenty thousand emails a month; go twice a week because you had a good fortnight and the bill follows you. That is a strange thing to charge for, given that sending more often is usually the thing keeping your readers interested.

Here you pay for the size of your list and nothing else. Sending is included, there is no per-email charge and no separate delivery bill to work out in advance. There is a fair use ceiling on it, because we are paying for the delivery, but it is set high enough that publishing three times a week to a large list stays comfortably underneath. Daily to several thousand people is the case that reaches it, and if that is you, moving to your own sending account removes the ceiling and still costs nothing extra.

Past fifteen thousand readers the sending moves into your own hands, which costs nothing extra and comes with the advantage that the reputation you build belongs to you. We tell you at twelve thousand so it never arrives as a surprise, and plenty of people move over earlier because they want that anyway.

How sending works

Billing questions

What counts as an active subscriber?

Somebody who confirmed their address and has not unsubscribed or bounced. People part way through signing up do not count until they confirm. If you run several newsletters on one account, we add the readers together and bill you once.

Do I pay for the emails themselves?

No. Sending is included and there is no per-email charge, so publishing twice in a good week costs the same as publishing once. There is a fair use ceiling, set high enough that in practice it only affects sending daily to a list of several thousand people. If you get there we will help you move to your own sending account, which removes the ceiling and costs you nothing extra.

Is there anything else I have to pay for?

A domain name, if you do not already have one, which is roughly ten pounds a year from anywhere that sells them, and it is optional to begin with. That is the whole list. No setup fee, no charge per issue, no add-ons, and no feature sitting behind a higher tier.

What changes above 15,000 readers?

The sending moves into your own hands rather than ours. It costs nothing extra, your plan price is whatever the ladder above says, and we start telling you at twelve thousand so you have time to sort it out calmly. Everything else about your account carries on unchanged.

What happens if my list grows past my plan limit?

We email you as soon as you go over and tell you which plan you are moving to and when. Nothing changes for seven days unless you shoot well past the limit, and new subscribers are never blocked while you decide. Moving up is prorated.

And if my list shrinks?

You move down at the end of the billing period you have already paid for, automatically. We do not make you ask, and we do not issue mid-cycle credits either way.

Is there an annual discount?

Not yet. Monthly only for now.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your archive and everything in your account are kept for sixty days after you cancel, and we email you before anything is deleted. You can download your list as a spreadsheet at any time, including after cancelling. It is your list.

Try it on a real issue.

This is not a demo with the sending switched off. Put an issue together and send it to somebody.
